Spinal Cord Reconstruction Surgery

 

As with any spinal cord injury treatment, the aim of Puhua International Hospital’s procedure is to restore neurological function (which previously otherwise permanently lost).By combining neurosurgery and biotherapy, damaged areas of the spinal cord can be repaired which improves the ability of patients to move (“motor outcomes”) and to feel (“sensory outcomes”) beyond which they have had previously.

Dr. Xiaodi Han graduated from Shanghai Medical University (now merged with Fudan University). In 1992 arrived in Beijing to work at the prestigious Neurosurgery Department of the Beijing Tiantan Hospital. It was there where he studied under Professor Jizhong Zhao and participated in some of China’s most important research projects. While working at the Neurosurgery Department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, he specialized in the treatment of gliomas and various kinds of neurosurgical conditions which eventually earned him positions at Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia, and Wichita State University, Kansas, America. Subsequently, he worked at the Neurosurgery Department of the University of Rochester’s Medical Center, where he was responsible for post-graduate research specializing in nerve growth factor treatment.
Currently, Dr. Xiaodi Han is the Chief Neurosurgeon of Beijing Puhua International Hospital. He has devoted himself to clinical applications and research of nerve growth factor treatments for neurological diseases.
